Key Qualifications and Experience:

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New York State Previous experience working in school settings highly preferred Strong knowledge of best practices for physical therapy in pediatric and school environments Comfort and adaptability in working with non-verbal students and utilizing alternative modes of communication Compassionate, patient-centered approach with excellent communication and record-keeping skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized PT services to five students, following a 1x weekly, 30-minute mandate for each Develop and implement engaging interventions tailored to each student's needs and IEP goals Document progress, maintain records, and provide timely updates to the educational team and families Consult and collaborate to create accessible, supportive environments conducive to student growth and participation Uphold standards of care and contribute actively to ESY program goals This contract position provides a structured yet flexible summer schedule—perfect for those who want to savor the season while making a positive impact.
