Job Description Job Description:

Pediatric & developmental knowledge and expertise Strong understanding of gross motor development from early childhood through early adulthood

Educational Regulations:

Familiarity with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 compliance, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Knowledge of adaptive equipment, wheelchairs, orthotics, and environmental modifications to support student independence in the school setting Ability to pivot techniques seamlessly based on the student's age, needs, and abilities Strong communication skills to partner effectively with parents, teachers, other related service providers, and special education teams and administration. Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position students of varying sizes and weights, as well as maneuver heavy adaptive equipment Providing specialized therapy to address goals as per the student's Individual Education Plan/504 Plan; monitoring and reporting student progress Ability to assess student needs, progress, and evaluate for initial and re-evaluations through the CSE process
