Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New York Experience working in a school setting, supporting K-12 students, is strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with children, educators, and families Ability to create individualized treatment plans and adapt strategies to diverse student needs Organized, dependable, and passionate about advancing student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students, focusing on improving mobility, strength, balance, and participation in educational activities Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment goals in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams Educate school staff and families on strategies for supporting student progress outside of therapy sessions Adapt interventions and equipment as appropriate, ensuring safe and accessible learning environments This assignment is perfect for professionals seeking a meaningful position where every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact.
