Job Description

Position Summary The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with injuries, disabilities, and movement dysfunctions to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent future injury. The Physical Therapist develops individualized treatment plans, provides hands-on care, and collaborates with patients, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies, insurance requirements, and regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and professional regulations, including HIPAA requirements. Supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), rehabilitation aides, and support staff as appropriate. Participate in clinic initiatives, staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement programs. Contribute to a positive patient experience and promote the clinic's services within the community. Qualifications Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program. Current state Physical Therapist license in good standing. CPR certification required. Previous outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required. Strong clinical reasoning and patient care skills. Skills & Competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong evaluation and treatment planning abilities. Knowledge of current physical therapy practices and evidence-based treatment techniques. Ability to motivate and engage patients throughout the rehabilitation process. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and assist patients throughout the workday. Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients when necessary. Frequent use of hands for manual therapy techniques and patient care activities. Work Environment This position operates in an outpatient physical therapy clinic and involves direct patient care across a variety of orthopedic, post-surgical, sports medicine, and general rehabilitation conditions. Pay:
$74,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
