Job Summary:

Our dynamic team of talented sports and orthopedic physical therapists deploy a very active approach in the management of injuries to the musculoskeletal system. A physical therapist at our practice enjoys a wide variety of both surgical and non-operative patients and athletes of all ages, with specialists that include sports medicine, spine, foot / ankle, upper extremity and total joint replacement. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Evaluates patients and develops treatment plans appropriate for patient functional limitations. Skillfully applies therapeutic techniques to address patient treatment needs. Develops trusted relationships with referring providers. Helps ensure well-run clinical operations by completing necessary documentation and billing in a quality manner. Manages caseload effectively. Stays current with trends and practices in therapeutic evaluation and treatment, supporting evidence-based practice. Participates in clinical staff education, meetings and quality improvement programs for patient care and staff development projects. Demonstrates excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Supervises physical therapy students to develop their clinical skills and ensure the delivery of quality patient care. Complies with all pertinent rules and regulations within the State Practice Act and the American Physical Therapy Association's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

Education:

Master of Science degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy Program.

Work Experience:

3-5 years of experience preferred, will consider a new graduate with strong sports / orthopedic clinical experience. Licensure, Registration and/or

Certification:

Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Oklahoma.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients and families. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Basic computer knowledge as needed for data input and reporting. Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a clinical outpatient setting. Work may involve frequent contact with patients, physicians, staff and the public.

Physical Requirements:

Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Requires normal physical strength to exert up to 100 pounds of force to push or pull as needed. Requires normal physical strength to lift or carry overhead up to 35 pounds as needed. Requires full range of body motion including bending, stooping and stretching when assisting and lifting patients or to access files and supplies. Requires normal concentration regarding complexity and timeliness of decision making. Requires normal memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information involved. Average visual acuity necessary to prepare or review documents or operate equipment. Ability to speak, frequently conveying detailed or important information or ideas accurately. Ability to hear normal speech, both in person and on the telephone. Pay commensurate with experience.
