Immediately Job Description Physical Therapist (Early Intervention)•Douglas ESD Douglas ESD is accepting applications for an Early Intervention Physical Therapist for the Douglas County Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education program. This position works 190 days per year, 5 days per week PLUS an additional 5 weeks of extended days in July and August. This position is for the 2025-26 school year.SALARY:
$55,238•$85,848 (depending on relevant verifiable experience) This is the daily rate of $290.73•$451.83 per dayTO APPLY

Provide physical therapy assessment, therapy, and consultative services in the area of physical therapy. Services will be provided in Early Intervention for children with motor and sensory impairments.DUTIES:
This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. Full job description is attached in Applicant Tracking. Serving children birth to 3 through Early Intervention. Evaluate student motor and sensory skills to determine eligibility for special education services using standardized assessment instruments. Evaluate motor (gross and adaptive) and sensory development to determine appropriate type and amount of physical therapy services required to insure reasonable educational progress. Instruct, train, and monitor classroom staff and parents in the implementation of appropriate motor activities, accommodations, and modifications. Design and fabricate adaptive devices and equipment to enhance independence in the educational setting. Team with other personnel and agencies to provide coordinated and effective services. Participate in IFSP and IEP meetings to assist with the development of individual child educational plans. Implement motor activities, accommodations, and modifications that support IFSP and IEP goals.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Degree in Physical Therapy required with graduation from an accredited physical therapy school. Must hold an Oregon Physical Therapist License. Douglas ESD has been awarded the Douglas County Working Parents Award for 2025.
