Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving young learners through early intervention services in a supportive school environment. This physical therapy role runs through mid-June 2027 and offers a full 40-hour work week, primarily serving families across Douglas County, with most visits centered around the Roseburg area. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Hold a current Physical Therapy license valid in Oregon Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children, preferably in early intervention or early childhood special education settings Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Skilled in consulting with educators and other professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans Independent, organized, and comfortable traveling between locations within the service areaKey Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized physical therapy services to early childhood students, primarily through home-based sessions Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and adapt plans as needed to promote optimal student outcomes Provide limited consultative support to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs, collaborating as part of a broader service team Maintain thorough documentation and ongoing reports to track student progress and service compliance Foster partnerships with families, helping them understand and implement therapy strategies in the everyday home environment Coordinate with other specialists to ensure comprehensive support for each child's needs This position promises the chance to apply your expertise with a diverse and appreciative population while enjoying the unique rewards of early intervention.
