Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students' growth in an educational setting dedicated to their success. A contract Physical Therapist is needed to provide exceptional services for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. Serve children and young adults across a welcoming school community and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help each student reach their fullest potential. This position features daytime hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm, with an orientation on Monday, June 29th. The contract runs from June 29th through August 6th—perfect for professionals seeking summer engagement in a school-based environment near Clarks Summit, PA.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid and current Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Expertise in organizing and implementing individualized therapy plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs and schedules
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative PT services in accordance with IEPs Conduct evaluations and maintain detailed progress records Work closely with educators, families, and other related service providers Encourage student participation and maximize independence through targeted interventions Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
