Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving the needs of students in a supportive educational setting. This role focuses on providing physical therapy services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, offering you a flexible schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact over the summer months. Enjoy weekday daytime hours—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm—with orientation scheduled on Monday, June 29th. The assignment spans from June 29th through August 6th, ensuring a defined, manageable commitment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation in educational environments Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and families Commitment to fostering student independence and mobility
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy in accordance with students' IEPs Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support student goals Maintain accurate records and progress notes in line with school policy Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students Participate in orientation and any required training sessions This school-based contract offers a unique chance to engage with students in a focused summer program, making positive contributions during a vital learning period.
