Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract opportunity this summer, providing physical therapy support during Extended School Year (ESY) sessions at two school sites near Philadelphia, PA. From June 29 through July 30, you'll have the rewarding chance to make a direct impact working with students who benefit from your expertise in a school-based environment. This short-term role offers a focused schedule—Monday through Thursday from 8:15 am to 12:30 pm—giving you valuable afternoons free for your own pursuits.
Desired Background:
Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license required Prior experience supporting children or adolescents in educational settings highly preferred Competence in assessment and the design of effective treatment plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff and families Reliable transportation to both assigned school sites in Upper Merion and Lansdale areas Commitment to delivering consistent, student-centered care throughout the ESY period
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy to students following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Assess, document, and communicate progress toward therapy goals Work collaboratively with other ESY staff members, educators, and families Travel between two school sites as assigned Support inclusive and adaptive strategies so all students can thrive in their learning environment This summer contract position is ideal if you're passionate about making a positive contribution to student growth during a critical time.
