Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Seeking a passionate Physical Therapist to support extended school year (ESY) programs for students in a collaborative, dynamic educational setting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive on making a meaningful difference for children and adolescents during the summer session. The position is contract-based and requires availability in the Pittston, PA area. You'll work with students identified for ESY services, providing skilled PT support in alignment with their individual educational plans. Orientation is scheduled for Monday, June 29th. The assignment runs from June 29th through August 6th with workdays every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania Prior experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of school-based physical therapy practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and deliver PT services for ESY students Develop, track, and update therapeutic goals and progress reports Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Foster a positive, encouraging environment for students of varying abilities Maintain detailed and timely session documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements Engage in a supportive school community while providing vital services to students over the summer.
