Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a passionate physical therapist seeking a rewarding, school-based role this summer! This contract position centers on delivering top-tier PT care to children, helping each student reach their fullest potential in and out of the classroom. Qualifications & Desired Skills:
Licensed Physical Therapist (active state licensure required) Background or experience providing PT services in school or pediatric healthcare environments Familiarity with IEP development and implementation preferred Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and modify therapy plans as needed Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students, supporting their mobility, function, and participation in school activities Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs and goals Work closely with teachers, aides, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy into educational programming Track student progress, document session outcomes, and adjust strategies for optimal development Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for students' continued success Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that inspires students to achieve milestones
