Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity this summer working as a Physical Therapist for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. Collaborate within a supportive team environment near Wilkes Barre, PA, and make a meaningful difference in students' lives. With a focused summer commitment and a set schedule of Tuesday through Thursday mornings, this role offers both professional fulfillment and flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Pennsylvania Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Ability to tailor interventions to elementary and secondary student needs Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working with students, families, and staff
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Evaluate and document students' progress, participating in ESY team meetings as needed Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and adaptive strategies Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to support students' physical development and access to their learning environment Educate and consult with families regarding therapy goals, techniques, and at-home supports
Role Details:
ESY duration: June 29th - August 6th Orientation is scheduled for Monday, June 29th Program hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:45am to 12:15pm daily You'll thrive in this role if you're a motivated PT hoping to use your skills to empower students during the summer session, while maintaining work-life balance.
