Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an enriching contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist with a robust Extended School Year (ESY) program. Located near the beautiful coastal region of Narragansett, RI, this short-term assignment is ideal for PT professionals eager to make a meaningful difference while enjoying summer along the scenic shoreline. This role will have you working from July 7th through July 30th, 2026, providing essential physical therapy services to a diverse K-12 caseload. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Active and valid Rhode Island state license for Physical Therapy practice Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with K-12 students Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Compassionate approach and commitment to supporting students' growth
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy according to IEP goals Evaluate students' needs, track progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary Consult with teachers and families to maximize student independence and participation Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and program guidelines Contribute proactively to ESY team meetings and support multidisciplinary collaboration
