Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract assignment providing physical therapy services in an educational setting near Pawtucket, RI. This opportunity focuses on supporting students' growth and participation in their academic and daily activities, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in their lives while developing your own expertise in school-based physical therapy.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Proven experience in PT within schools or similar pediatric environments Comprehensive knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy Ability to effectively evaluate, plan, and execute individualized treatment plans for students Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with documentation, compliance, and IEP processes
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students with a variety of needs, focusing on maximizing functional independence and educational participation Conduct assessments to determine students' motor skill levels and develop personalized intervention plans Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to promote student success across school routines Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and required reports in adherence to federal, state, and district standards Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise regarding goals, accommodations, and adaptive equipment as needed Educate staff and caregivers on strategies and exercises to reinforce gains and ensure carryover beyond therapy sessions This contract role offers exposure to diverse student populations, collaboration with dedicated professionals, and the chance to see your impact firsthand in the school community.
