We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join a highly supportive school team in Providence, Rhode Island. This is a full-time, school-based Physical Therapist position serving students with significant physical, developmental, and functional needs in a special education environment.

Onsite Position Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students with physical disabilities and complex developmental needs.
- Evaluate student motor skills, mobility, posture, strength, balance, and functional performance within the educational setting.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support educational access and student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations regarding physical therapy services and accommodations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and mobility supports as needed.
- Support students in developing functional skills necessary for participation in school activities.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Rhode Island Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education services.
Safety Care Training:
Candidates must be willing to complete Safety-Care Training, which will be provided by the school. This training prepares staff to safely support students with behavioral, emotional, or physical needs while maintaining a positive learning environment. Why Join Our Team?
