Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join a highly supportive school team in Providence, Rhode Island. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with students with significant needs while collaborating with experienced educators and related service providers in a positive and team-oriented environment. Position Highlights 4-5 days per week School-based setting Severe caseload Strong support from administration and multidisciplinary team Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student mobility, access, and independence Responsibilities Evaluate students and develop individualized physical therapy plans Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed Qualifications Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Active Rhode Island Physical Therapist license Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred Experience working with students with significant or complex needs is a plus Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Additional Requirements Must be willing to complete Safety-Care Training (provided by the school) Ability to support students with varying physical, behavioral, and medical needs Why Join This Team?
