Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students in an Extended School Year (ESY) program, scheduled from July 7th to July 30th, 2026. This setting near West Warwick, RI, offers a valuable chance to make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents while expanding your expertise in school-based physical therapy. Ideal candidates will bring specialized training and a commitment to fostering student development. Here's what is expected for success in this role:
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Valid Rhode Island state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Ability to develop effective treatment plans for a diverse K-12 population Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and families Strong organizational and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade as part of the ESY program Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs addressing each student's needs and goals Work closely with educators, support staff, and parents to support students' educational and mobility objectives Maintain clear documentation aligned with school and state requirements Contribute to IEP development and goal tracking for assigned students
