Desired Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license for practice in Rhode Island Prior experience delivering PT services in educational or pediatric healthcare settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals Knowledge of current best practices in school-based physical therapy and relevant regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' motor skills and functional abilities to determine therapy needs Create and carry out tailored intervention plans, supporting students' participation in academic settings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, aides, and families, to support student independence and growth Deliver direct therapy services and monitor progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Maintain thorough, timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and student outcomes Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations
