Job Description
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a hospital in Florence, SC as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. and we'll connect you with a recruiter who'll reach out with more details. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active South Carolina state license or ability to obtain state license prior to start. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and document per hospital and regulatory standards. Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and support discharge planning, equipment trialing, and patient/family education. Willingness to participate in student supervision and precepting when assigned. Preferred Qualifications Previous travel therapy experience preferred. Experience with safe patient handling programs and infectious disease protocols preferred. Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred.

Impacting Patient Care Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Design functional treatment programs to support return to community activities. Provide patient, family, student, and coworker education. Complete timely, accurate documentation including daily notes, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry. Adhere to hospital policies, state practice act, and professional codes of conduct. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain professional licensure and competency requirements. Location Highlights Florence, SC offers a mix of cultural and outdoor attractions within easy reach. The city is near Florence Civic Center and Florence County Museum, and downtown features dining and historic districts within a short commute. Myrtle Beach is about 45 minutes to the east for coastal recreation and state parks, while Lake City and the Lynches River provide local fishing and boating within a 30-minute drive.
