Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing specialized support as a physical therapist in a school environment. This contract role is designed for an accomplished professional seeking flexible, focused hours—approximately 27 hours per month—making it ideal for those looking to share their expertise in a school-based setting. You'll offer direct therapy services one day each week, supporting growth, development, and educational success for children in need.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license and minimum master's degree in Physical Therapy. At least 10 years of experience practicing as a physical therapist, with a strong foundation in pediatric care. Proven success delivering therapy within a school environment. Skilled in utilizing the EDPlan SC IEP system for evaluation, documentation, and compliance. Comfort with performing comprehensive evaluations, completing reevaluations, and compiling accurate IEP paperwork. Clear, compassionate communication and collaboration abilities for effective participation in IEP meetings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students, tailored to individual needs and educational goals. Complete thorough evaluations and reevaluations, documenting progress and adjusting services as necessary. Accurately prepare, maintain, and submit required IEP paperwork to ensure regulatory compliance. Participate actively in IEP meetings with school teams and families, offering professional insights and fostering supportive solutions. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to deliver exceptional outcomes for your students.
