Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist serving a diverse K-12 student population for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. You'll play a key role in an educational environment, supporting students' physical development and maximizing their access to learning. This onsite position offers the chance to collaborate with passionate educators and families while delivering impactful therapy services directly within the school setting.
Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina Physical Therapy license (required) Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, teachers, and families Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet a broad range of student needs across K-12 grades
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group physical therapy services to K-12 students, focusing on functional mobility, gross motor skills, and participation in school activities Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to set educational goals Maintain accurate records, measurements, and progress: ensuring compliance with state and district requirements Educate school staff and families about optimal strategies, accommodations, and device usage to support student success in the classroom Offer guidance and in-service training to teachers and aides on physical therapy protocols
