Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Experience the rewards of making a direct impact in the school community with an engaging opportunity near Arlington, TX. This full-time contract position allows you to support students in grades K-12 with a variety of physical therapy needs throughout the academic year. Work onsite with a dynamic group, utilizing your expertise to enhance students' day-to-day school lives and ensure their access to learning.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist through ECPTOTE Previous experience with school-aged populations (K-12 preferred) Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapy plans to diverse abilities and caseload sizes High level of organization and documentation efficiency Compassion, patience, and dedication to pediatric therapy
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to a caseload of roughly 35-50 students, adjusting support based on individual and group needs Conduct assessments, design interventions, and implement treatment plans targeting mobility, motor skills, and access to learning environments Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines Collaborate closely with other therapists, educators, and support staff to deliver holistic care Provide education and guidance to families and school staff to optimize carryover and student progress Maintain thorough documentation and uphold confidentiality standards This position offers the chance to play a vital role in an educational setting, with a regular Monday through Friday schedule (8:00-4:00).
