PRN, contract, full-time, and part-time opportunities may be available. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with various conditions affecting their mobility and function. This position offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, permanent, and temporary options available.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients' physical conditions through assessments and examinations. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Implement therapeutic interventions using appropriate techniques such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, modalities (e.g., ultrasound), and functional training. Monitor patient progress throughout treatments and adjust care plans as necessary. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment protocols and exercises for home practice. Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments provided, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal regulations. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing staff across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Participate in continuing education opportunities to remain current on best practices within the field of physical therapy.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program or equivalent qualification. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Texas (must be obtained prior to employment). Previous experience preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply. Strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to build rapport with patients quickly.
