Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a school-based Physical Therapist in a K-12 educational environment near Burleson, TX. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work onsite with a dynamic group of students, collaborating with educators and support staff to promote student access, participation, and functional independence throughout the school year. In this full-time role (8:00-4:00), you'll manage a caseload of approximately 35-50 students, adapting your support to the varying grade levels and needs. The position spans the academic year, providing consistent opportunities to see student progress and build lasting professional relationships.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Texas license as a Physical Therapist through ECPTOTE Prior experience working with K-12 students in school settings is strongly preferred Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions within an educational context Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with staff and families Exceptional organizational skills to manage and document multiple student cases efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to support students' educational goals Evaluate and document students' motor skills and functional mobility as part of the IEP process Develop customized treatment plans tailored to each student's strengths and challenges Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment Contribute expertise at IEP meetings and participate in student re-evaluations as needed Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements This assignment offers the chance to work regular school hours in a supportive setting dedicated to student success.
