Job Description

Intensive Physical Therapy Institute is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children through exceptional physical therapy services. We offer specialized Intensive Models of therapy with multiple techniques including DMI, NDT, and more. Our team is passionate about creating a supportive and innovative environment to help each child reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric or neurological therapy to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans for children with various physical and neurological conditions. Your expertise will be vital in helping our young patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and overall physical function while working closely with their families to support their developmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and Evaluate:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to determine their physical therapy needs, including assessing motor skills, muscle strength, and coordination.
Develop Treatment Plans:
Create and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient evaluations, including setting goals and selecting appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Provide Therapy:
Deliver direct physical therapy services, including exercises, manual therapy, and neurological rehabilitation techniques tailored to each child's needs.
Educate and Support:
Educate patients and their families about therapy goals, create home exercise programs and strategies to support ongoing development and well-being.
Collaborate:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and pediatricians, to provide comprehensive care.
Document Progress:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Valid license to treat in the state of Utah as a Physical Therapist (PT).
Experience:
Experience in pediatric or neurological physical therapy required.
Skills:
Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating pediatric patients, with a focus on neurological conditions.
