THERAPIST - 195 DAY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS
An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is a licensed health care professionals who provide educationally related services to special education students ages 2 through 21 when services are needed for a student to benefit from the special education program. This position diagnoses and manages movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities. This position works on the acquisition of basic motor skills necessary for functional ability and gait in the school environments as well as the student's capability for participating with peers during learning activities.

This position provides equal educational opportunities by promoting increased independence in the least restrictive environment. This position works collaboratively with educational staff to identify areas where support is needed and provide training in the therapeutic management of students, such as positioning, safety and mobility, and the use of mobility equipment. The analytical skills required by the job are varied and advanced. This position analyzes student strengths and weaknesses and prepares an intervention plan to maximize student educational performance. This position collaborates with team members to provide therapeutic interventions, environmental adaptations, and instructional modifications to support student achievement in the educational setting.
