1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week home health/hospice travel assignment covering Rutland and Bennington County. Details Home health and hospice setting covering Rutland and Bennington County Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with 2-3 weekend days per contract Uses McKesson EMR for clinical documentation, including visit lock-down, follow-up notes, and visit completion Responsibilities include OASIS assessments, plan of care development, and ongoing skilled PT treatment across a home-based caseload Caseload management includes coordinating with schedulers, supervising PTAs and PT students, and managing patient visit schedules dynamically Requirements Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required Home health experience strongly preferred given OASIS documentation requirements Current PT license required if applicable Familiarity with OASIS documentation and federal/state home health regulations preferred Experience with McKesson or similar home health EMR preferred DOB and SSN may be required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include comprehensive PT and OASIS assessments, individualized plan of care development, skilled treatment, patient/caregiver education, and care coordination with physicians, nurses, and other rehab staff Clinician will supervise and direct PTAs, PT students, and home care aides in accordance with APTA guidelines and applicable regulations Role includes completing accurate billing and insurance documentation, identifying coverage inconsistencies, and notifying supervisors of issues in a timely manner Clinician is expected to participate in peer review audits, in-service training programs, and quality improvement initiatives Additional clinical duties may include health assessments (e.g., PT/INR, blood pressure) and procedures such as wound care and staple/suture removal Clinician will complete OASIS time points and coordinate with QI staff to ensure clinical note accuracy Local candidates are accepted for this position
