Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a part-time Physical Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact through therapeutic interventions in an educational setting. Located within a short drive of Augusta, WV, you'll collaborate with school staff and families to help students develop essential motor skills for academic and personal success. This contract runs from August 12, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering 20 hours per week and the chance to balance work with personal commitments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to assess, plan, and deliver appropriate therapy services Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans Implement therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, aligned with educational goals Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, providing input for IEPs Document student progress and maintain thorough records Collaborate with educators, aides, and families to support student achievement Offer recommendations for adaptations in the school environment when needed
