Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a part-time Physical Therapist supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year. This position runs from August 12, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with a 20-hour workweek, offering the satisfaction of a school-based schedule plus meaningful professional engagement.
Desired Qualifications:
Current or eligible state Physical Therapy license
Previous pediatric or school-based PT experience preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP development, goal-setting, and therapeutic documentation
Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student populations
Time management and organizational skills for balancing a part-time caseload
Team-oriented, proactive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' motor skills, functional mobility, and physical needs within a school setting
Develop and implement individualized PT plans to support students' educational success
Participate in IEP meetings and provide regular progress updates
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services in compliance with school procedures
Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, and other related service providers
Guide staff and caregivers on strategies to support student mobility throughout the school day
