About Us Access Therapy PLLC is a locally owned and operated physical therapy clinic dedicated to helping our community move better, live stronger, and recover faster. We serve a diverse patient population and pride ourselves on providing compassionate, high-quality care. Job Summary The Bilingual Physical Therapy Technician supports licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants by assisting with patient care, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, maintaining the facility, and ensuring clear communication with all patients. While experience is helpful, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Clinical Support Assist physical therapists and PTAs with patient care, exercise programs, and treatment preparation. Prepare, organize, and clean treatment areas and equipment before and after sessions. Maintain clinic cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the day. Demonstrate and cue patients through exercises safely and effectively. Observe patient performance and provide feedback to the supervising therapist. Document patient responses and performance as directed. Ensure safety, infection control, and compliance with clinic standards at all times. Anticipate the needs of therapists and proactively prepare necessary materials or equipment. Bilingual & Administrative Support Communicate clearly and compassionately with Spanish-speaking patients and family members to ensure understanding of care plans, home exercise programs, and scheduling instructions. Translate basic medical or therapy-related information accurately between patients and clinical staff. Translate exercise instructions, home programs, and care plans between English and Spanish. Help bilingual or Spanish speaking patients complete intake paperwork as well as understanding forms and/or clinic policies. Answer or make phone calls in Spanish when needed for appointment confirmations, reminders, or updates. Support front desk operations such as check-in, scheduling, and patient flow when necessary. Assist with written translation of forms, signage, or educational handouts under direction of clinic leadership. Teamwork & Clinic Efficiency Manage time effectively across multiple patients, tasks, and priorities. Maintain composure and focus in a dynamic clinical environment. Work independently and demonstrate accountability without the need for close supervision. Communicate proactively with therapists and staff to ensure a seamless patient experience. Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-centered workplace culture. Qualifications Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (speaking and reading required). This includes the ability to understand and translate medical information. High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in kinesiology, exercise science, or healthcare preferred. Strong understanding of common therapeutic and gym-based exercise terminology (e.g., resistance bands, core stabilization, upper/lower extremity strengthening, etc.). Ability to perform and demonstrate proper exercise technique safely and effectively. Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to manage time, juggle multiple responsibilities, and anticipate needs. Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written. Professional, punctual, and detail-oriented. Physical ability to assist patients and move equipment as needed.
