Job Description

Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. As a PT Aide, you will assist our physical therapist in providing excellent care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. This role involves working closely with both patients and staff, helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for rehabilitation. We prefer one year of experience working in an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with patient care : Help prepare patients for therapy sessions, position them correctly, and assist with exercises and stretching under the direction of a physical therapist. Provide administrative support : Help with patient intake, scheduling, and basic office tasks such as maintaining files and managing equipment inventory. Maintain a clean and organized therapy space : Ensure that equipment and treatment areas are clean, sanitized, and in proper working condition. Monitor patient progress : Observe patients during exercises and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist. Prepare treatment areas : Set up equipment such as weights, resistance bands, and other therapy tools before and after patient sessions. Assist with patient mobility : Help patients with walking aids and support them as they perform movements and exercises under supervision. Provide exceptional customer service : Communicate with patients and their families, answering questions and offering encouragement during their rehabilitation journey. Ensure patient safety : Assist in maintaining a safe environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in physical therapy aide or related field is a plus. Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with therapists and patients. Basic knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology is helpful but not required. Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, including proper body mechanics. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods. Comfortable with bending, kneeling, and assisting with patient transfers. Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding support within our physical therapy office!
