PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Physical Therapy Aide for our busy outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice in Long Beach California. This is a part-time position with potential to transition into a full-time position for a clinic that operates Monday through Friday, 6am - 7pm. We will work around school schedule if needed. This is an excellent learning environment for students looking to continue on to future schooling for any healthcare profession including

Aide Duties and Responsibilities:

Greets patients and guides them to and from treatment area. Assists Physical Therapist in treatment of patients. Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients during therapeutic exercises and functional activities. Administer therapeutic modalities such as heat/ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, etc. Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, filling out forms, taking inventory, and ordering supplies. Schedule patient appointments, make confirmation calls and monitor daily schedule.

Position Requirements:

High School Diploma (Required) P.T. Aide experience OR college level anatomy and physiology courses (Required, both preferred) CPR certification (Preferred) Must be a motivated, fast learner, with great communication skills who works well with others Ideal candidate is pursuing PT as future career
