Physical Therapy Aide

Overview :

6 months with potential extension Performs a variety of patient care duties, including basic treatment procedures, reception and clerical duties to assist in the care and treatment of patients referred to physical therapy. Answers telephone calls and makes outgoing calls as needed and directed Assists Physical Therapist or PTA with treatment procedures by setting/positioning equipment, attending to patients, and providing appropriate supplies as directed Administers basic electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and phonophoresis therapy to patients with established treatment regimens, as directed; sets equipment controls at specified levels; positions instruments on patient's body' observes and adjusts equipment controls as necessary Required High School Diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire Knowledge of basic medical terminology and basic anatomy Excellent customer service skills required Computer appointment scheduling

Shift:

Friday-Tuesday - 8:30am to 5:00pm

Pay:

$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
