What will you be doing:
The Therapy Aide provides supportive services under the direct supervision of a licensed/registered therapist. Duties include patient related and non-patient related tasks and is dependent on competency and level of training completed. Patient related tasks may include transportation, preparation and assisting patient care, and/or assist with the application of modalities and procedures according to the prescription of the physician and as delegated by the primary therapist of the same field. Non-patient related tasks include maintenance of area, monitoring of equipment and supplies, and clerical duties. Assists staff in treatment/set-up and clean-up under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Assists management and management support staff with coordination of patient care. Assists with the coordination of documentation and clerical duties. Performs routine duties including preparation, maintenance and clean up of the treatment areas and ordering/monitoring of equipment. Follows up with therapist and/or management on incomplete tasks, as appropriate as needed. Prepares and transports patients as assigned. Assists with group treatment as assigned or requested. Performs scheduling and front office tasks and other related duties such as orientation to new tasks/areas or special projects.
Qualifications Experience:
Computer proficiency. Solid understanding of Windows or comparable system (specifically including keyboard and mouse skills). Solid grasp of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation development, e-mail, browser and online reporting.
Education:
High School Diploma and/or
GED Certification:
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from either the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.
