Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and preparation for therapy sessions to ensure smooth and efficient appointments Support patient care by helping patients with exercises, transfers, and mobility activities under supervision Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and report observations to the supervising therapist Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and handling documentation accurately Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering encouragement, and fostering a positive environment Support clinic operations by stocking supplies, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with general clinic maintenance Requirements Prior experience in hospital or clinical settings is highly preferred, especially in outpatient or inpatient environments Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support therapy activities Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, orthopedics, or post-acute care is advantageous Strong understanding of patient service principles and commitment to delivering compassionate care Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining attention to safety protocols during patient assistance Familiarity with acute care and hospital medicine practices enhances your ability to support complex cases Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients alike Embark on a rewarding career path where your enthusiasm for helping others makes a real difference!
