Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Aide and play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and well-being. In this position, you will assist licensed physical therapists by leading patients through exercises, preparing treatment areas, managing patient flow, and ensuring a smooth, efficient therapy experience. Your dedication to patient service and care will help foster a positive environment where patients feel supported and motivated on their journey to health. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient sessions, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for therapy activities Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises under the supervision of licensed therapists Set up patients with TENS pads and heat/ice at the end of their appointment Maintain detailed records of patient progress during exercises Monitor patient safety during therapy activities by observing responses and reporting any concerns promptly Experience Experience in patient service and patient care roles within hospital medicine or rehabilitation settings is highly desirable but not required Knowledge of movement, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support therapy activities Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations enhances your ability to excel in this role Previous exposure to orthopedic or geriatric populations provides valuable insight into specialized therapy needs Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach are essential for fostering positive patient interactions Embark on a rewarding career path where your proactive support directly impacts patients' recovery journeys.
