In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to assist in the rehabilitation of pediatric and adult patients with various physical challenges. Your expertise will contribute to improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries and pediatric diagnoses. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the supervising therapist. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercises and care plans to promote recovery at home. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge planning. Ensure a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff during therapy sessions. Utilize appropriate techniques such as trigger point therapy to address specific patient needs. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively assist in patient care. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients post-treatment. Understanding of various physical therapy techniques, including acute care, geriatrics, home health, and care plans. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
