Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact the lives of children and their families. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver specialized care tailored to pediatric patients. Your dedication will help children achieve their developmental milestones, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities focused on improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and mobility in children with diverse needs. Utilize specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy to alleviate muscle tension and promote healing. Monitor patient progress regularly, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Support discharge planning by preparing patients and families with education on exercises and care strategies for continued progress at home. Maintain accurate medical terminology records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and caregivers—to deliver comprehensive pediatric care. Experience Prior experience working in outpatient settings with pediatric populations is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and pediatrics. Experience providing care in outpatient clinics or home health environments is advantageous. Familiarity with orthopedic conditions. Skilled in developing and following detailed care plans tailored specifically for pediatric patients with diverse needs. Previous exposure to therapies such as physiotherapy techniques—including trigger point therapy—is a plus. Strong understanding of discharge planning processes ensures seamless transitions from hospital or clinical settings to home or community environments. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
