Job Description

SUMMARY:
Ozark PT Specialists is seeking to add to our dynamic team a Physical Therapy Technician. This opportunity would involve joining a close knit group of colleagues whose mission is to get our patients back to living full and pain free lives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
1 year of customer service experience beneficial, but not required.
Other:
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer and office equipment skills required. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate effectively in a team as well as independently, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships is required.
Physical Therapy Aide Job Responsibilities:
Supports physical therapy care delivery by cleaning and preparing treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials, and performs appropriate procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant. Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests and allaying fears. Helps treat patients by applying heat packs or cryotherapy, assisting patients in and out of treatment areas, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion and supervising prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as appropriate and as supervised by Physical Therapist. Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with cleaning procedures, rules, and regulations. Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment areas. Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, and calling for repairs or notifying supervisor. Maintains physical therapy supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. Serves and protects by adhering to professional standards, clinic policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift up to 40 or 50 pounds. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
