Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in the implementation of treatment plans to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of various therapeutic techniques. Duties Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients. Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress notes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in discharge planning and assist with transitioning patients to home or outpatient care. Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols within the clinical environment. Skills Proficient in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare teams. Knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology , particularly related to orthopedics and acute care settings. Experience with trigger point therapy techniques is a plus. Familiarity with pediatrics , ensuring appropriate care for younger patients. Ability to provide exceptional patient care , demonstrating empathy and understanding. Strong organizational skills for effective documentation and discharge planning.
