Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient recovery, and promoting mobility and independence. Your expertise will help patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—achieve their health goals through targeted therapies and compassionate care. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide hands-on therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and reduce pain. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for continued care at home or in outpatient settings. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention, and health maintenance strategies. Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all therapy sessions. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient or outpatient physiotherapy settings is highly preferred. Skilled nursing facility experience or home health care background is advantageous. Familiarity with acute care environments and discharge planning processes enhances your effectiveness in this role. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedics is essential for providing high-quality care. Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations is desirable, along with a strong understanding of care plans for diverse patient groups. Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
