In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored therapy interventions. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including geriatrics. Deliver therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques—including trigger point therapy—and modalities to promote healing and functional improvement. Monitor patient progress, document treatment responses, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist to ensure optimal care adjustments. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, discharge planning, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Support discharge planning efforts by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions from inpatient or outpatient settings. Uphold safety standards during all therapy sessions, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to infection control protocols. Experience Proven experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings. Hands-on experience with physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and manual therapy modalities. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles applicable to orthopedics, geriatrics. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored for diverse patient populations across outpatient clinics or home health services. Prior involvement in discharge planning processes within healthcare facilities or skilled nursing environments. Skilled in managing patient care for individuals with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, or post-surgical rehabilitation needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients on their treatment journey.
