In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and specialized units such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care. Your hands-on approach and compassionate attitude will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain through techniques like trigger point therapy, and achieve their health goals efficiently. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support patients through personalized care plans while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values your skills and dedication. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform therapeutic interventions including manual therapy techniques, and exercises designed to improve mobility and reduce pain. Monitor patient progress closely, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, post-treatment care, and discharge planning to promote continued recovery at home or in other settings. Maintain accurate medical terminology records and ensure all documentation complies with healthcare regulations. Participate in discharge planning processes by assessing patient needs for ongoing therapy or supportive services post-treatment. Experience Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant in inpatient or outpatient settings is highly preferred. Skilled nursing facility experience or home health background is advantageous for understanding diverse patient environments. Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics is essential. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and care plans related to geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care enhances your effectiveness in this role. Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care. Experience supporting discharge planning processes and managing care for patients across the lifespan ensures comprehensive support for diverse populations.
