Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings. In this position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote overall well-being. Responsibilities Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to develop and execute tailored care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility environments. Assist with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to enhance patient recovery. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the healthcare team effectively. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and follow-up instructions. Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all therapy sessions. Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on patient care strategies to optimize outcomes. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices. Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and patients recovering from acute or chronic conditions. Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Prior experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings is highly valued. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and documentation requirements for healthcare providers.
