Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed physical therapist to provide therapy services to patients. You will help patients regain movement and manage pain through various therapeutic exercises and modalities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients. 2. Conduct therapeutic exercises with patients to improve mobility and strength. 3. Administer modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation as directed by the physical therapist. 4. Educate patients on proper at-home exercises and techniques. 5. Assist with patient assessments and progress reports. 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. 7. Ensure equipment and treatment areas are clean and organized. 8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program. 2. State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant. 3. CPR certification. 4. Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 7. Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities. 8.
