Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized care plans across diverse settings in home health environments. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for Home Health patients. Perform therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities under supervision. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately to inform ongoing care adjustments. Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge plans to promote independence at home or in outpatient settings. Support discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions from hospital or clinic to home or other care environments. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper use of equipment during therapy sessions. Contribute to the development of care plans by providing insights on patient response and progress based on physiological knowledge and clinical observations. Requirements Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program; current licensure or registration as required by state law. Proven experience working in inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings with a focus on physiotherapy. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and rehabilitation techniques including trigger point therapy. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care plans. Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare providers.
Pay:
$110.00 - $160.00 per hour
