Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - PTA Job Type Travel Deliver impactful patient care as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supporting therapy services within a hospital environment. In this contract role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated therapists and other healthcare professionals, working together to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting strongly preferred Profound understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques Ability to follow treatment plans designed by a Physical Therapist Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient and family interactions Proficient in patient documentation and electronic health records Compassionate approach with a focus on patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Administer therapy exercises and treatments according to the supervising therapist's plan of care Assist patients with therapeutic activities aimed at restoring physical function, mobility, and independence Monitor patient progress and report observations to the physical therapist Educate patients and their families about exercises, use of assistive devices, and at-home safety precautions Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory protocols Monitor and maintain therapy equipment for safety and readiness
