Full-time, 37.5 hours per week 2026-2027 school year Starts August 2026

Pay:

$1,500 per week , based on 37.5 hours (equivalent to $40/hour DOE ) Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time School-Based Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support a school district in Riverside, CA for the 2026-2027 school year . This is an onsite position offering consistent, full-time hours for the entire academic year, starting in August 2026 . The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, strength, and functional access within the school environment. What you'll do: Provide physical therapy services to school-aged students as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist Carry out treatment plans and support IEP goals Assist students with gross motor skills, strength, balance, posture, and mobility Support safe participation in classroom, playground, and school activities Assist with adaptive equipment and accommodations Monitor and document student progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration as appropriate Maintain timely and accurate documentation and service logs Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers Travel between school sites within the district as needed What you need: Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred Experience working with school-aged children Ability to manage a full-time school caseload (37.5 hours per week) Availability for the full 2026-2027 school year , beginning August 2026 Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
