Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver exceptional patient care across various settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored physiotherapy interventions. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys while honing your skills in diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to promote healing and pain relief. Monitor patient progress, document treatment responses, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Support patient care by educating patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning strategies. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, patient responses, and clinical observations in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery across inpatient, outpatient, orthopedic, and acute care settings. Assist in preparing treatment areas, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols during therapy sessions. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physiotherapy practices. Proficiency in medical terminology related to musculoskeletal, neurological, and pediatric conditions. Experience with skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health services, or inpatient units is highly desirable. Expertise in trigger point therapy and other manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and improve function. Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual patient needs across diverse populations. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and documentation standards in acute care or outpatient settings.
